Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has made headlines once again, this time for selling 10 billion MOODENG memecoins via Cow Swap. The sale, which took place between 19:18 and 19:36 UTC+8, resulted in Buterin receiving 308.7 ETH, equivalent to about $500,000 in value. However, instead of pocketing the earnings, Buterin chose to donate most of the proceeds to a charitable cause.
According to SpotOnChain, Buterin then transferred 260.15 ETH, totaling over $424,000, to the Kanro contract. The Kanro charity, initiated by Buterin last year, focuses on biotech research and developing Technology to combat airborne diseases. This act of generosity underscores Buterin's commitment to utilizing his crypto Wealth for philanthropic purposes.
